I play recreationally and haven't started with a large bankroll at all, just €90.
At this level, from articles I've read about bankroll management I should be playing in games where my bankroll is 30x the full buyin. So 90 / 30 = 3 which means 0.01/0.02 is the game I should be playing in.

This doesn't appeal to me at all, but then I play recreationally. I play in 0.25/0.50 and I enjoy it and I'm profiting a little. Plus I'm going through a 200% deposit bonus which is an added bonus. I don't expect to complete it as I've played 560 hands already and not cleared the first €10.

What you said I would say is generally good advice, but not everybody's circumstances are the same. I play for fun. I don't play with more than I can afford to lose and I play at a level where if I win some pots I'm happy with the amount it's possible to win.
