In order to improve your overall poker play, there are some common mistakes that you need to avoid. These mistakes will hinder your improvement and hold down your future as a prominent poker player.

The first common mistake is failure to set a betting limit before you enter a poker game. If you are playing for real money, it is imperative for you limit your budget and to pre-set a maximum of expenditure.

The second common mistake is a failure to know the rules of the game. The third common mistake is a failure to practice the game of poker assiduously. At free casino sites you can practice the game of poker as often as you care to at no financial cost to you. With practice, you’ll see a marked improvement in your poker game.

The fifth most common mistake is going broke.
The sixth is borrowing money to gamble with.
The seventh is repeating the same mistakes with your borrowed money and going broke again.

Don't do it guys. You heard it hear first.

This is a very helpful idea. Although if skilled poker players pass over some good advises or information to freshmen. Mistakes do not have to be done twice :D I just trying to improve my skills in playing poker and my advise is not invaluable but I have some friends who did this mistake too often ... so try to avoid it: Do not get avaricious.

This is true. Time will come that you will sell all your things because you are so broke already.

Lacking knowledge on how to play the game properly is also a common mistake. Many people lose patience in learning and want to get a full hands-on experience immediately. Poker is like putting your life on the line. Don't head into the field without properly arming yourself.
